“A few days after the terrorist attacks that bereaved Paris, I came in at lunch to refuel. No star, but plenty of good humor. Gilles and Elisabeth Epié manage to instill a good attitude in a bad atmosphere and lift the spirits that feels so low currently in Paris. Even the colors of orange go beautifully with the upbeat service. All this can be found here along with a light cuisine, fresh as air.

The chestnut soup with truffles and caramelized onions to start followed by smoked sardines, smoked marinated in an oriental style with spicy lemon confit. Sea bass tartare with Ultreïa caviar over a carrot puree, topped with fragrant truffles, these dishes are bright, healthy and bring a Franco-Californian spirit.

Add a delicious dessert like mango meringue crumble, with mango sorbet with lime cream, or their chocolate plate with chocolate “Grand Cru” foam, hazelnut biscuit, coffee cream, and cocoa sorbet. I melt with pleasure. Wines by the glass, available, a Margaux 2010 Château Margaux is simply marvelous. ”
