Puerto Rico: 1919 Restaurant
1919, the restaurant located in San Juan’s historic Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, is bringing chef Gilles Epie, of Citrus Etoile in Paris, to partake in their monthly dinner series. The Frenchman, who gained notoriety for winning his first Michelin star at just 22, will mix tropical ingredients from the island with his modern take on French gastronomy, creating a seven-course meal alongside 1919’s host chef, Juan José Cuevas. 1055 Ashford Ave., San Juan, Puerto Rico; 787-721-5500, condadovanderbilt.com.
